2025 East Coast Challenge October 24th, 2025

The Northeast rises again to defeat the Southeast Division in a 20-year match challenge. Saturday was pairs and triples which was decisively won by the Northeast. Sunday the singles and fours matches were much closer with some really fantastic close scores but the North was persistent and in the end the trophy was presented back to the Northeast division. The total wins is now 9 for the north but the South will rise again next year!

George Tucker Recognized

On March 1, 2025, at the Mount Dora Lawn Bowls Club in Florida, Jackie Tucker received a plaque recognizing George Tucker’s contribution to the sport of lawn bowling from the Southeast Division. George was a past president of the Pinehurst LBC and won many tournaments including the US Open in Fours. He was also runner up in Singles at the National Championships. He was the club champion 7 times here at Pinehurst. George passed away in 2021 but his wife continues to contribute to the sport in training of new bowlers and development of players wanting to represent the USA in International play.
